Watching the sunrise in Toowoomba

Kookaburra and I woke up extra early to watch the sunrise from Picnic Point


We thought we were going to be late as we raced our car through the early morning twilight 


Reaching the Point we realized that we weren't late and we were in for quite a wait


Finding the best place to watch it was a trial as we didn't want to wonder off only to miss it rising


Kookaburra stayed where we started while I headed off in hopes of a better spot


I soon came upon a more open area in which to view the rising sun


The problem now was, do I risk going farther along? As I had stumbled upon this site so easily, was there an even better one just around the bend?


In the end I decided to stay, as I was sure the sun was just about to rise. It was not, I then waited at least another five minutes maybe more.


Watching the sunrise is an amazing way to begin your day.

We had a wonderful time around Exmouth at the end of January. Our car rego was due, and after ringing all the places qualified to check a NSW car for its rego in the area, (we are one of the only states that need to be inspected before the rego can be paid) where we were working and trying to book the car in only to find that their inspectors were overseas, or they were booked through until April, or for some other reason, generally that their inspector was away for months. We finally, found a place at Exmouth 600km away that could see us just before our rego was due. After I finished stressing, we decided that this suited us as we had planned to go to Exmouth and the nearby Coral Bay on our way south. The first morning we spent in Exmouth was spent waiting for the car to be checked. I've been so excited for months, I managed to get tickets to the Womens World Cup Soccer match, the Matildas vs Super Falcons! I'm a huge fan of the Matildas and have managed to see them live a few times before, travelling hundreds and even thousands of kilometers to see a soccer match.
